Is Asowl Gateway a replacement for Shopify Payments?

No. Asowl is an independent payment orchestrator that sits behind your Shopify store. You keep your storefront, theme and checkout. Asowl adds the processors and routing rules Shopify does not offer, and you can run it alongside any provider you already use.

Do I have to change my theme or write code?

No. Connecting a store is done through the Asowl app and the dashboard. Developers who want more control get a REST API, signed webhooks, request logs and a sandbox environment from day one.

Which processors and methods are supported?

Card acquirers, wallets, bank-transfer schemes, BNPL, cash vouchers and alternative rails across 180+ countries. The exact list is confirmed per merchant depending on region, business entity, KYC and provider appetite — which is exactly why we review every beta application individually.

When does the beta open?

The private beta opens when the countdown on this page reaches zero. Waitlist merchants are invited in waves, starting with cross-border sellers and specialty verticals.

How will pricing work?

Beta access is free. General availability is planned as transaction-based pricing with volume tiers and no monthly minimum on the starter plan. Waitlist merchants keep their beta pricing for 12 months after launch.
